the_reverend said:
[band=bane_of_existence]: so this was my first time seeing them with the new lineup. Actually, it was their first show too. It took doug's vocals a while to warm up...er... Wait, that must be some auto-insert thing on my keyboard. Watching them, I sort of though I was back at the palladium in 2000 seeing a show. First off, the new singer, dusty, sounded sick. Compared to dougs vocals, they sounded pretty different. I think dusty had a larger range (higher hi's and lower lows) than doug, but a lot of the vocals that doug would do just came out as gutterals. not that it's too bad of a thing, but I think that it will be especially hard to understand those parts. the difference is my mind is trying to understand the lyrics in goratory as compared to the lyrics in jungle rot. the 2 new members up the long-haired headbanging of this band from 1 to 3. plus, the new 2 guys are able to head bang like 90% of the time too. at some point, jim's guitar cut out or something. I'm not sure what happened, but it took him out of it for 1/2 a song. when jim was out, you could only hear the low end (I'm guessing that's the rhythm part of the songs). out of all the band, the new guys seemed pretty relaxed and not stressed to be playing. I think that jim was the most nervous out of all of them. i broke a string after that it was all over for me as my other guitar was set up for dropped tunning and not our regular tunning so all my strings were out of tune till the last song
