There's always dozens of things to try with these types of problems. The last two PC's I fixed that had freezes in safe mode were due to HDD problems when I thought they were problems with malware/windows. So that's the first thing that comes to mind. I'd try doing a checkdisk to rule out that problem first. If you can get into windows you can do it there. Otherwise, if you can get into the recovery console I believe the command is chkdsk c:\ /r[/QUOTE]
