the shock part was a little different from last year, a very little. Personally, I didn't care about seeing most of the movie people "in the flesh" since I haven't seen most of the movies. It was cool to see pinhead, the original jason, and the eggshell skinned guy from TMC2. the only other person I could place was one of the ho's from hostel. Beyond that, the people there were mostly devils rejects cast. I haven't seen that movie yet so I was lost. The venders were a lot of the same people too. You could tell the inovators of the returns were cause they had new sculptures/products. The one thing I wished I could have seen was the original hills have eyes vs the remake. That would have been cool [band=mongrel]: even from the back of the room, they sounded good. I was absolutely surprised about that. There crowd was about 1/3 full for them and people were screaming/singing along. This far from home too. I hear them do a misfits song, but I was getting supplies for gwar. [band=bad_ash]: I swear I saw these guys, but I recognize the bassist. I et it.. Bad ash... Bad ass... They were punky rock about zombies with some melodic metal guitar riffs and a tromboner player. For some reason there was a dude who ran around the stage with a strongbad mask on. He sang through everyone's mics and hit random samples. At one point, he and the tromboner held up signs professing their proficiency in karate, chachacha, heyheyhey, and pretty deadgirls.
