DreamingInExile said:
blue said:
how much are you looking to spend?
I'd love to be able to trade in my rack towards my head, and getting it for under a grand. (that's if I go the new route) Used, I'd definately like to come in under $750 (lower if possible) as far as cabnets, I'd like to get into one for around $600ish and I'm thinking of doing the cabnet before the head, as my existing old Peavey cabnet just flat out sucks. (it's dinged up and debadged, so it ain't worth shit on trade in)
well if you're looking for a new cab, theres a few options to look at. first, there will always be a constant stream of used marshall 1960 series cabs in the 3-500 range and those are always a decent pick for an all around cab. or, for the 400ish range (and for my top pick) definetly check out http://www.avatarspeakers.com. awesome quality cabs and you can throw whatever speakers you want in it (my personal fav would be a g12t-75/vintage 30 X pattern), awesome prices too. that way you can still invest another 600ish into a head. dont expect to get shit on a trade in on your rack though. try selling it on craigslist.
