| __________________________________________ [Mar 26,2004 1:24am - TheGreatSpaldino ""] not going to happen... i will explain why. see... if i am using my artifact rush deck... i can have tons of creatures come out at a rate that can very well be infinite (save for the fact that my deck could run out). now this is all possible thanks to my Veldaken Archmage and Genesis Chamber. i have a ton of artifact creatures that cost nothing to bring out or that have affinity for artifacts that cause the creatures to come out for free. NOW, because i would have the Archmage out, it allows me to draw a card every time i play an artifact, basically making it so i get a free card drawn into my hand therefore perpetuating the card drawing cycle until i have enough cards out that can do big time damage. speeding up the card drawing (and creature producing) process is my genesis chamber. the genesis chamber allows to make a 1/1 weenie artifact creature everytime i play a non-token creature. basically, every time i play an artifact creature i am now able to draw 2 cards at a time. so that means i can draw my arcbound crusher almost instantaneously. with the crusher out in play i can harbor a very powerful creature that has way more than enough power to kill you by the time it is able to attack. "how?" you ask? well basically, the crushers gains +1/+1 everytime an artifact is played. so now you may have already pieced together how he becomes so massive in such a little time. now lets say you played 7 artifact creatures... the chamber makes 7 more creatures and you draw 14 cards altogether... now you just put 14 artifacts into play. so the crusher gains 14 new +1/+1 tokens on it and it is now a 15/15. the next turn you play another 4 creatures, uing the chamber to make 4 more, adding another 8 token on the crusher making it a hulking 23/23. so by that time, the opponent could have a couple of creatures out, so when you attacked the opposing creatures could block your crusher... but dont fret... the crusher has trample therefore allowing the opponent to still take most of the damage... and if thats the case, before damage is tallied up you could play a few more artifacts to make it even more powerful, therefore draing your opponent of his measley 20 lifepoints. ... dont even get me started on my elf deck, reanimation deck, or demi-god deck. |
