Kiss the Pig[views:1068][posts:3]_____________________________________________________ [Jun 23,2004 11:42am - babysbreath not signed in ""] i just recieved a Cd-r of the not-yet-released today is the day album, "kiss the pig" and while the band seems to be getting back to the straight evil riffing, and less keys and looping and effects like thier experimental "sadness will prevail", I have a few things that worry me aboiut this cd... 1.) this drummer is by far the worst drummer steve austin has worked with... Just remeber the days of "in the eyes of god", i think that drummer drums for Mastadon now, but he was amazing! no more crazy fills, no more galloping rythems, just boring blast beats and 4/4 horseshit 2.) I hope the copy i got is not mastered yet, because it sounds like its not, and and there are no electronics or anything interesting going on... the music is powerful and very nihilistic, as hoped, but its lacking depth. has anyone else heard this yet? i hope they fire that drummer |
